Aaron,
The Admin is telling me there needs to be an authentication string (user
and password) with the relay. Have you run into this before?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I just went through this process with the Java side of RPGMail with another
client (non-iSeries). They had to allow the IP address of the windows
machine hosting my JSF application to send emails. The odd thing that
occurred was that it took awhile for the rule to get into place (i.e. they
made the change to allow relaying, I tested, but no luck. Then I tried it a
couple days later and it magically worked. From what I know the Exchange
admin didn't mod anything in those couple of days, so I don't know what
caused the delay. I don't know if this info will help you at all - take it
for what it's worth).

What can I tell the admin of an Exchange Server so that email sent from
iSeries (via Aaron's RPGMAIL) will be accepted?
iseries pgm has no errors & appears sent ok.
Can telnet to the server from iSeries, port 25 & looks ok.
I am assuming he needs to allow the relay from the iSeries, but so far he is
not "getting it".
