Go to http://status.jabber.org/. In the first paragraph click the Join the JUser List. Fill out the information. When you get the email confirm it. Then go in to trillian and add a new connection JABBER. Put in the email address and password you used in the signup for jabber. Click the change button. On the Connection Tab change the server host to jabber.org. Click the save settings. You should be good to go. Bruce Collins IT Architect AAA Cooper Transportation

Folks: I just discovered that you don't even need an account on my jabber
server
to be able to participate in the midrangedotcom chat. If you already have a jabber server account (on another jabber
service,
like jabber.org), you can just join the chat room 'midrangedotcom@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'. Unfortunately, you cannot use a Google talk client application to join chat rooms. But you CAN use your Google talk id to join the midrangedotcom chat. You just have to be using a chat client that supports chat rooms (like gaim, trillian, etc). If you have any questions, feel free to contact me privately. david -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take
