I admit, maybe I missed a memo, but is there a way to electronically
transmit a saved APAR library to IBM?

The odds of me providing them with that information shoot up astronomically

if I could do it that way instead of making a tape and figuring out where
to
mail it.

For those of you scoring at home, APAR II12302 is the generic cover letter
sent back from IBM when you have:

1)  reported a problem via ECS / service agent / extreme service /
supersplendifio servicio / whatever it is called this week.
B)  the analysis is Probability - 100, Possible Cause - Error detected in
OS/400 licensed program
3)  with the exciting contents of

*** Last Updated 17 Aug 2000 ***

VRM = 440

ERROR DESCRIPTION:
*** Last Updated 07/17/00 ***
Thank you for using ECS regarding a problem you are experiencing
with your AS/400. At this time, we have no reported
problems matching your description.
If you wish to pursue this problem further,
please collect the following information for analysis:
APAR Data Library
    * APAR data may be saved by  doing the following:
       WRKPRB PRBID(xxxxxxxxx)enter, Option 8, Option 30 -
        enter,then Option 1 and select:
          - History log
          - Program Temporary Fixes
          - Error logs in the correct time range
          - VLIC log entries in correct time range
          - Problem log entries in correct time range.
   * Press enter and save APAR library.
   * Do a SAVLIB to save the data to tape.
   * Provide any additional symptoms associated with
     this failure.

further mailing intructions.

paragraph of the cover letter.  Apparently, IBM hasn't been able to in 6+
years.
