Would using the setccsid command help? setccsid -R 819 /dir/to/my/file.csv On 11/20/06, Mike Pantzopoulos - (H/O) <mpantzopoulos@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Forgot to include subject line in previous post.............. I found a technique for generating an SQL result set direct to a CSV file on the IFS using the QSHELL DB2 command. The command works, however the file seems to be in EBCDIC when I try and open it in EXCEL on the PC. I'm presuming that a code conversion hasn't taken place. It looks fine when I open the file in the iSeries. Here is the code that runs in QSHELL. - db2 "select agtbra || ',' || char(agtnoa) || ',' || agtnaa from anvdev.agtmas" | sed -n '/,/p' > /mxp/mxpsql.csv The QSHELL manual didn't provide me with any clues. I understand that SED -n suppresses the input from being directed to standard output, however, could someone please explain the meaning of the '/,/p' in the above command please.
