I think I found the problem but I'm not sure why. The problem actually happen on TELNETing or socket thru program. It work if I do telnet 10.219.001.249 It does not work if I do telnet 010.219.001.249 Notice the leading 0 on the second telnet. Does leading 0 actually have effect on ip address? -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Lim Hock-Chai Sent: Thursday, November 16, 2006 10:07 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: able to TELNET not able to socket connect thru program I'm able to TELNET to a remote non-AS400 server. However, my program is not able to socket connect to it. Any suggestion on how to track the problem with the program. -- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
