<verndor response> Sarah - may I offer that you take a look at our RPG2SQL Integrator product. This can talk to any non-iSeries database for which there is an ODBC driver or OLEDB provider. And the price is a lot better than Oracle's tool. Besides, it is not limited to Oracle, and it also has special functions for working with Excel spreadsheets. You can call me - I am the main developer now - at 888.RJS.SOFT or email me at vern@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx - or check out website at www.rjssoftware.com - the manual can be downloaded there under the support tab. And you can get a fully-supported 30 day evaluation. </verndor response> -------------- Original message -------------- From: "Sarah Poger Gladstone" <listmember@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>
Thanks for the information. Given the high price, I think we'll just use JDBC instead since the Oracle JDBC driver is free. -Sarah On 11/15/06, Wilt, Charles wrote:Sarah, Don't know that you can download it. Too bad Oracle / MS SQL Server aren't as open as the iSeries. I am starting at the page http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/gateways/am4as400.htm then clicking "Downloads". But I do not see the AS/400 product listed on the download page. What am I missing? Also, what is the neighborhood of the price for this? Is it priced per CPU?
