Kirk,

I would like to clarify a couple of things you stated.

When setting up LanConsole a couple of things happen
#1 The device must predefined in SST/DST (this is by name). The only one
predefined is QCONSOLE

What device must be predefined in SST/DST? The alternate console name or
the PC name that will use the LAN console? How many predefined LAN console
names can you have? I know you can have a primary and a alternate console.
Is this different with LAN console?

#2 The first time a predefined console attaches a super secret id/pwd is
created and stored on the PC that only the system knows. If another device
with the same name
tries to attach, it can't.

I assume this "super secret id/password" is stored in a file on the PC and
if this file is missing or doesn't match the PC, the system rejects the
connection?

Thanks for your help.
