I wonder if I am not getting the CPI3203 message because I have a sub cl
program that walks back through the joblog to retrieve the completion status
of the last save command.  It could be clearing those messages out.   I know
that I am still getting the completion messages in the joblog.  I will have
to look into that.  But a program that looks through the joblog and removes
those cluttering entries?

Rob,

Are you talking about the joblog on the outq or in the active joblog?  I
am
on V5R4, and I don't get the access path saved message in the outq joblog.
I get the   "XX blocks processed for sequence XX, volume VOLUMEID, on
DEVNAME"

So - a message I would like to see gone from the job log is;

CPI6705   -   Message . . . . :   94 blocks processed for sequence 9,
volume
100005, on
  device TAP02.

Maybe if we change the severity of the message one way or the other -
depending on the settings for the job.  It would still show up in the
active
joblog, but not in the outq version when the job completes.
