You are correct, nothing special.  Do a search back to a couple months
ago, this was covered in detail.

We've decided to KVM our HMC with some other servers on an existing KVM
switch and not buy the IBM display along with the HMC.  There's no
specific reason to buy the IBM provided HMC keyboard and mouse spec'd
with the HMC for $182 either, right?  I'm guessing there's nothing

Desktop HMC is a PC with a fancy machine type.  KVM it up.  I believe
the KB and mouse are both USB.
