I have couple of LPARS that I have to build on V5R4 from scratch
I have full system tapes from a system which is on V5R4 with latest PTFs
and no user data ( which were saved via go save ..option 21)
I also created a Distribution media tape(go licpgm >> option 40)

I dont want to use the IBM Cds as it would take time in loading them and
then applying cum PTFs..

The new system have different LPAR names

Which would be the best method to create the new lpars
Using Full system tape ( go restore ..option 21) or Installing from
Distribution media

What are the pros and cons of each and which would be the best option ?

I know if I restore using option 21 ..then I have to change system name ,
relation database entries etc..
As per IBM manual it says that Restore 21 should be used only in case of
Disaster recovery..Are there any more cleanups that need to be done

Thks in advance
