Jerry: If you need that old data and the ONLY problem is a missing field, you can use the CHGPF command referencing the current and changed DDS for the file and thereby add the new field without losing any of your old data. Then, if you wish, you can recreate this multi-year LF and/or use the old file with you new programs that expect all the fields. Physicals in multiple libraries. Worked fine. Even processed a document to add to the current year's history and it showed up in the multi-format LF.
