Peter: I take it that you never had a project assigned to you with a requirement for a compound key consisting of parts in different (i.e., JOINed) files. There have been a number of times when OPNQRYF was a perfect fit for me. Especially when nothing else (short of significant rewrites without authorization/approval) would work. Tom Liotta
