If you're getting LTO3, I'd recommend fibre channel.  We have a couple
TS3310s, *GREAT* drives, really impressed with them - connected via
fibre - allows you for better expansion and flexibility options through
your enterprise in the future as well, say if you wanted to put them in
a SAN fabric.

LVD SCSI to fibre - fibre is obviously better, not sure if it's so much
better on LTO3 that the bottleneck is LVD vs the actual drive when using
fibre, but I do know that LTO3 on fibre is blazing fast.  Just insanity.

I'm spec'ing out a new 520+ box and am curious about the various tape
controller card speeds.  We'll most likely be driving a TS3100 Ultrium3
tape library... is a 5712 tape controller sufficient, or is one of the
newer cards a better performing option?  If so, how much of a difference
is there?
