http://www.asc-iseries.com/sequel/mpds.htm SEQUEL is not just a data retrieval tool, hence the higher cost. It's got application building capabilities as well. I've got a client who has no programming tools on his machine because his BP told him they were unnecessary. I used the scripting tool within SEQUEL to build him stuff that moves data back and forth between various platforms. Coincidentally, one of those platforms is Oracle. The users don't see any problem in clicking an icon on their desktop to retrieve data from the Oracle box. They don't care if the linkage is made by the 520. They are comfortable with the look and feel of Viewpoint. Does QMF use ODBC as its linkage mechanism? You don't find this with SEQUEL.
