Booth,

Some years back I met a guy at Common with "Microsoft" on his badge. After a few good-natured jabs, he said that MS used AS/400's (his term) extensively in their plants. I mean, let's be frank, would you run a major corporation on a Wintel server?

Also, many years ago I worked Reg check-in at Common. Within the span of an hour I checked in people from HP, DEC, and Unisys. Back then, at least, you had to have an IBM midrange to attend the conference.

Microsoft uses i5? I doubt it, other than for r&d. Wal-Mart is a unix shop I believe?

It's the top of the US Fortune 500. Can anyone remove any of these names
knowing that they (or their subsidiaries) DON'T have an AS/400, iSeries, i5?

Better post quickly before David moves this to the non-tech list.

That's a pretty impressive list. Is that current and where did it come from?

I was asked today to see if I could get a list of 20 to 30 larger companies
that are using the iSeries. Does anyone know where a list like this could
be found?
