I am trying to run an inventory collection for Software and Fixes in

course, there is no error messages besides saying it failed. Anyone know
where to look to see what the error might be?

I don't know if your problem is the same as mine (or what my problem is) but I got the inventory collection to run on one system and not another. The failing system has a job QYPSJSVR that shows an error in the log:
CPFB9A1 Management Central connection failed.

I'm guessing that is why mine doesn't work. It somehow is trying to connect to a host which it should not. I just need to figure out *why* it's trying to connect to that host!

Hopefully this will get you closer to your solution as well.
