Robin,

<vendor response>
My company has a new PC tool available that may suit your needs:
http://www.ihocquery.com

You can execute SQL selects (there's your one or many iSeries tables) and
export the results to (configurable) CSV, Tab-Delimited, or XML. You can
even use it to create "Dump Files", which are text files with complete
"CREATE TABLE" and "INSERT INTO XXX" statements representing the returned
dataset.

The tool is easy to use and inexpensive at only $89 per license. The site
includes a download for the fully functional ten-use trial. All you need to
use it are the .NET 1.1 framework (a free MS download which you may already
have) and the V5R3 .Net Managed Provider from iSeries Access (the iSeries
does NOT have to be at V5R3, just iSeries Access).
