That product sounds a lot like FAST/400. I think IBM's interactive tax is sheer piracy. However, if you don't like it, leave the product, or lobby IBM to change. I wouldn't recommend using software to thwart the govenor. 1 - There is a potential for every ptf to disable the product and require a reinstall of the hack. And all new ptf cover letters have that disclosure in them. 2 - In this situation IBM prefers you do a give/give relationship. Failure to accept the interactive tax, or redesign all your applications to the web or C/S environment to workaround the interactive tax, will make IBM less inclined to play nice in other ways.
