But I thought I would actually follow the install steps.  There is a
step in the quick-start guide that says something about attaching to the
"ASMI" by connecting a PC to one of the HMC ports and using a browser to
connect to 192.168.2.147.  I set my PC to 192.168.2.200 and tried both
connecting a cable directly from the PC to the HMC port and also by
connecting them through a hub.  Neither worked.  Whenever I tried to
ping the iSeries, I got no response.

Not being able to get anything to work, I moved on.  Then I realized I
was plugging into the wrong HMC port.  The direct connect between the PC
and the i5 then worked in that I could ping the box, but it wouldn't
respond to my browser requests.

Did I break anything?
