I am really interested in server consolidation. When it makes sense
(business and dollar sense) I push the IXS cards. We are currently using 6
IXS cards in our i5 550. The problem is dollar sense. The cards are a
somewhat good deal, but when you have to start factoring in a expansion
unit, it becomes a harder sale. The IXS limitations aren't the deal
breaker, if we need more raw power or memory, I would suggest a IXA.

I've heard a few rumors about IBM working on a blade center for the iSeries
that would allow multiple IXS/IXA cards for a reasonable (for IBM) price.
Does anybody have any additional info on this blade center? I couldn't
make it to COMMON this time, so if someone could ask IBM about this at the
Expo, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.
