When you're confronted with the list of API's and the slightly alien
(possibly) way of coding for them it can be a bit daunting. The best way, I
find, is to identify when you have a use for them and plunge right in. If
you can find good examples of their use that's also very helpful. There are
some excellent examples in the midrange-l archive.

Whatever your plans for the future it's usually not a bad idea to keep
