I agree, BUT...

I regularly search the file system and find files that have not even been 
accessed in the
past 2 years.  I send out a 'big ass' memo that states this is all been 
backed up and I am
going to toast it.  Users just go bonkers... "You can't do that"   "We 
might need this stuff"
etc etc etc

As long as management is willing to keep buying more storage and not 
wiling to force
some, even modest, user responsibility, the PC will never have PR 
(personal computer
and personal responsibility)

God, this is just one issue that just ticks me off...   like we need 
reject reports from 8 years ago?
The answer is no. No one mines (or wants to) this info. There are simply 
no derivative works
that in any way benefit from all this 'junk'.    I could free a terabyte 
of space, but no, we keep it
on live space, back it up and just add more

Oh well, so I am ranting, forgive me
