I know. I have been on vacation and I am just catching up. Forgive me but I had to comment on this old post. I thought that this article was most interesting. Especially the part about IBM donating modern mainfram equipment to 7 universities in China. Is IBM planning on giving away any equipment to U.S. universities? I'm assuming there would be people willing to learn it if there was a market. Sounds like the bulk of the investment is in China. It does not concern me so much that IBM is investing in mainframe technology. However, it does concern me where IBM is investing in education.
