We are a Synapse customer and I agree - I am sad that Joe died because he
was a GREAT guy to turn to for support issues, but this just sucks that
someone else (Jerry ? :-) ) or the current employees could not be trusted to
continue the product.

With all due respect to someone who cannot speak for himself, why was this 
done? Why not just sell the assets to another company or concern? Why leave 
customers hanging dry? Not to mention the employees?
