The answer is pretty simple: IBM Global Services. The iSeries is such a good machine that there is comparatively little services revenue there. IBM is no different than any other company. They will sell you what you want. The 30 to 40 something MBA's have drunk the M$ kool-aid, and need to spend big buck on Wintel solutions. IBM wants its share of those bucks.
