RE: Debugging a Program Called from Batch

Brian,

If the CL job runs in batch, then do the following:

1. Hold the job queue to which the CL batch job is submitted
2. Submit the CL batch job
3. Use the STRSRVJOB command to service the CL batch job
4. Use the STRDBG command on RPG program D (but don't actually add any
breakpoints)
5. Release the job queue. You will be prompted that your job has started
6. Use F10 to get a command line
7. Do a DSPMODSRC on RPG program D and add your breakpoints
8. Take F3 from the command line and press Enter

RPG program D should now stop on your breakpoints.

Remember to finish off with both ENDDBG and ENDSRVJOB.

That should do it. Or have I missed something obvious?
