        I don't think you can include larger capacity drives in the same
mirrored set.  I believe what you are saying is you want the mirrored
protection to rebuild the drive for you which would only work if you put in
one drive at a time and included it in the current raid set.  I'm not sure
if you could work some magic with the Expansion Box on a 170 or not (ie: a
separate mirror for the larger drives) but it doesn't sound like that is an
option for you anyway.

What I was asking Al was if it was possible to replace our dasd drives with 
larger ones without having to reload the os and data?  We have four drives 
which are mirroed on a 170 at V5R3......I do not know if I can be more
