says that rfc 2821 says the local part must be 64 characters or less 
localpart 'at' domain.com
however, an individual server may support a larger address, but not all 
servers have to.  Therefore they encourage your local server to not allow 
any new ones to be bigger because numerous servers out there may not 
support it.
