I look at the backup CL and noticed that we are doing the following: Savlib Lib(*IBM) SAVELIB LIB(*ALLUSR) SAVDLO DLO(*YES) SAV DEV('QSYS.LIB/TAP01.DEVD') Our system manager said that we should only restore the *ALLUSR library. Why wouldn't we save the others? -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces+dwayne.allison=affirmativeinsurance.com@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces+dwayne.allison=affirmativeinsurance.com@midra nge.com]On Behalf Of Brian Piotrowski Sent: Monday, August 08, 2005 9:57 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: RE: Backup crashed Are you talking about a full restore of all system files, folders and user data, or just data? In any event, log onto your AS/400 and type GO RESTORE. Select the type of backup you wish to restore (ie: 21 for and OPTION 21 restore). How do you do a full backup from tape? What is the command to restore from tape restore?
