I look at the backup CL and noticed that we are doing the following:

Savlib Lib(*IBM)
SAVELIB LIB(*ALLUSR)
SAVDLO DLO(*YES)
SAV DEV('QSYS.LIB/TAP01.DEVD')

Our system manager said that we should only restore the *ALLUSR library.  Why 
wouldn't we save the others?

Are you talking about a full restore of all system files, folders and
user data, or just data?

In any event, log onto your AS/400 and type GO RESTORE.  Select the type
of backup you wish to restore (ie: 21 for and OPTION 21 restore).
