If you are looking for a UPS monitoring program, please let me know and I can 
send you one that I developed. 

Monitors, sends notices, starts shutting down systems when time exceeds, 
restarts when power comes back, etc. 

Would need to be customized for your environment. Which subsystem to shutdown, 
etc.
