os/400, or i5/os, sucks as a file server. We've put in an IXS card into the same box, using the same disk, and got much better response time. And as far as keeping it all under one OS to ease application integration - I just don't see it. After all, is it an insurmountable leap, programmatically, to access /mydir/myfile.txt than it is to access /qntc/myServer/mydir/myfile.txt? Rob Berendt
