To be fair, while it is great that asp.net code running on a $10 per
month shared host site can connect to a database on an as400 somewhere
out there on the internet, that is not a very secure way of doing
things.  The user name and password are included in the connection
string and I dont know how to secure that link.

As I understand things, we are all supposed to be using web services
to interact with other systems in the network.  Which should be a
leveler in terms of what all systems are capable of doing.
