Only direct attached 3995s show up under QOPT (by volume id). The older LAN attached 3995's require the HFS APIs.
While the HFS APIs could be appropriate, I'm not sure why they'd be "required". I haven't worked with 3995s for some eight years, so I've forgotten a lot. Why can't the files just be CPY'd to a directory off of /root at worst? Shouldn't the file system handle this for you?
