Well, I've had one customer (cannot name) move a major purchasing app to
Oracle. It was a crash & burn, over & over, for 4 months before users
demanded we bring it back to the AS400.
I think the company spent $250k in software alone, a total of 7 months of
wasted labor, and probably lost a few million for the purchasing problems.
After back on the 400, we spent a month giving the users the additional
functions they had seen in the other app. Ours didn't crash..
