How's this for one: I forwarded one of the emails in this thread (actually your reply to Joe) to Malcolm (Haines) and suggested waiting awhile and letting MS/Intel/AMD do the blabbing about 64-bit and tell the world and then IBM roll out the 128-bit. Maybe even 96-bit first and then a couple of weeks/months latter do 128-bit to REALLY hammer home how ahead of those folks IBM is ? :-) Chuck -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rob Dixon Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2005 11:21 AM To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion Subject: Re: 64 bit Windows... Chuck It certainly is supposed to be relatively easy for IBM to go to 128 bits, but 64 will do for now. We need to find a way of getting them going. Others have tried in the past but failed. Any bright ideas? Rob
