Thanks, everyone. Here's the solution that worked the best:

crtpf qgpl/wiltelzip rcdlen(132) aut(*all)

ls -1 /zip > /qsys.lib/qgpl.lib/wiltelzip.file/wiltelzip.mbr

Yielding a file containing the zipped files to be unzipped by GUNZIP:

M2005030100_4401143.0433a.gz
M2005030100_4711213.0040a.gz
M2005030100_5006868.0431a.gz
M2005030100_5012109.0094a.gz

Note that I used a minus one following the ls command to give me just the
file names. The minus l gave too much stuff.

Now I can rock and roll. Gotta love this list. :-))
