If I recall correctly, I think that if your sysval is currently *NOMAX
for password expiration and you do a sysval change to a new value,
anyone who hasn't changed their password in more than that number of
days (lets say 60) will have to change it at next signon. Reason for
this is their last password change date would be more than 60 days,
since you don't force changes right now. So be prepared for some
password change pain.

I believe the system starts to inform at signon with 7 days or less
remaining, whether or not the display signon info sysval is set. Also,
iSeries Access 5250 by default is 14 days but can be turned down via the
control panel settings.

Also, now would be a good time to implement security for length,
repeating characters, and repeating instances.

Subject: Auto Password change System value

Simple question.
We currently don't force users to change their passwords every x # of
days but we would like to begin doing that..If I were to change the
system value to make it mandatory to change every 60 days, would there be
a warning message prior to the 60th day and how far in advance does it
come if there is one?
