Recently someone remarked that the HMC 4.4 code was rock. That's good
news.

Question: When I upgraded from 4.2 to 4.3 IBM recommended that I NOT
download, but instead I get, and use, the recovery CD's. Something about
that method rebuilds some stuff on the HMC that will make it run faster.
Now, I just got off the phone with IBM tech support and asked them if they
had the same recommendation when going from 4.3 to 4.4. They don't.
However, the person I talked to was not one of my usual contacts and I
wondered if y'all heard anything to the contrary. I ordered the recovery
CD's on Monday and told them I needed them ASAP. However IBM interpreted
that as meaning you tape it to a dog in Boulder, shoot it once in the hip
and point it towards Indiana. Tracking number says it should get here
Friday. (Which I took off since I have to work 3rd Friday night to do
other upgrades, like firmware, ptf's etc., and I was hoping to have the
HMC upgraded before then.)
