All,

Just a heads-up, took a rack-mounted HMC to V4R4 (MH00155) from V4R3,
then did corrective service to MH00212, then installed fixpacks MH00219,
MH00220, MH00224.

Everything went perfectly - there are a couple neat new features, and
the response time is PHENOMINAL compared to how it has been. The
resolution of the screen during boot time of the HMC is higher, so you
can see more stuff, and it just seems to be overall much more peppy.

The best thing I've seen so far - keeping in mind I had no known
problems, so the fixpack was purely for speed and security enhancements
- is the fact you can now right-click on your partitions and choose to
open a dedicated or shared 5250 session right there - no more signing-in
to HMC on 5250, picking CEC, picking LPAR, then being able to sign on.
Much better!

Will let everyone know if I see any problems. So far still have been
seeing my big peeve of the stuff in the boxes being too big and they
have scroll bars - even on totally standard items such as the config
screens during the clean-slate install wizard.
