Good question, I'm sure you will hear 1000 different perspectives! My view
is that IBM has finally received part of our word and that we have some
very capable people in charge now....Mark Shearer and Peter Bingaman.

They are investing tens of millions of additional dollars this year to
address challenges around the image of the iSeries and the support of
ISV's. We all know that IBM has invested a lot of money in the hardware
and software technology of our system. Finally, the image is getting some
of it. I'm sure it's a long journey and we are just seeing the start.
But regardless, IBM has decided to re-invest in this platform. We have the
technology, we have the people, we have some money and we seem to have some
focus.......

This is good stuff. I wonder why it's happening now? Just a change in
the GM? We haven't had marketing forever with the AS/400 and iSeries,
and now there's this multi-million dollar push. I'm not complaining,
just curious.
