At a local user group meeting last month, Dr. Soltis mentioned (if I heard him correctly) that the largest i5 595 out performs the biggest mainframe that IBM builds and that is one of the reasons they will be moving the mainframes to the Power processors. He didn't qualify exactly what he meant by "out performs".
