Check your ground. Bad ground can cause power to travel to units instead of
grounding out. Cannot help on the 270 power supply but e-bay has whole
units for only slightly more at times. ($1,000 right now)

-----Original Message-----

I've just had my second power supply fail in my 270. It's part number
24L1402.

We don't keep this machine under service because we figured we can
just get parts at a decent price. That's mostly true, except my
hardware guy says the part is $1200 lst, and he charges me $500.

I have some questions:

1. Does anyone have one they want to sell?
2. Does anyone know of a hardware source that is cheaper than $500?
3. Should I find a new electric circuit for my 270? It's hooked up
to a UPS. Funny thing is, this 270 is in my basement, and I have a
35" Television down here that just had it's power supply replaced. I
have a "whole house" surge protector in my electrical panel.
4. Any other ideas?
