Getting CPD337F messages at random times on various printers for the last
several weeks. Printers must be power cycled to restore the connections.

Facts:
All HP printers with internal JetDirect cards.
All *LAN printers
Occurring on about 15 different printers out of maybe 30.
Number of occurrences is random- could be 20, 8, 5 messages in one day.
Occurring on printers that have been printing from the iSeries for years
without problems.
Printers are located in different areas of the plant and thus are not on the
same switches. All the switches connect to a Cisco catalyst 3570 gigabit
switch. Our iSeries 10/100 Ethernet adapter is also connected to the Cisco
switch.
A comm trace was sent to the support line and now they want a sniffer trace
from one of the printers to see why it does not respond to the iSeries
sends. Waiting for our network guys to do the sniffer trace.
On the network side of things, we run Novell Netware 5.1 for print and file
sharing but most of the printers I am having trouble with are not configured
with Novell queues and print only TCP/IP from the iSeries.
Our iseries is an 820 running V5R2.

Any suggestions?
