I don't believe IBM has actually built PC's for a few years now. I recall a deal a few years back when they farmed out all the manufacturing to another pc company.
They will not be the last big company to bail out of that losing business.
There isn't many left in the market place and I can't believe any of them are making any money on a product that keeps falling in price.
I just heard this on CNBC. They said it's not a done deal yet.
If IBM is selling the PC part of its business, might they do that to iSeries?
I think they said the PC part was a $10B piece of the business. How does iSeries compare with that?
