Without knowing more about your network it is hard to pin point. Since you can get to your web server, lets use that configuration as an example. 1. Look at your web server IP configuration. IP address, subnet, default gateway, DNS entries. 2. Make sure your AS400 belongs to the same subnet as your web server but make sure it is a different IP address. The subnet, default gateway and DNS entries should be the same. 3. Try to ping something on the internet. www.yahoo.com replies to pings. You can type ping www.yahoo.com from a 5250 session command line. 4. If that works then your as400 is configured correctly. 5. Are you using any type of TCP/IP security package that might be limiting your connection to your local subnet? I hope this helps.
