losing data on M36 -- MIDRANGE-L

I hve two clients that have lost portions of files in their M36 recently.  I
blamed the first on the personel, but now it has happened again.  Ramdom
items are missing from the files.  Has anyone had this happen and any clue
how to know when this happens or how to recover  Thanks in advance.  Leonard
