91xx B982 = IO Processor detected a storage device failure Causes: B982 = (90%) F101105 indicates the addressed disk or tape device is the failing item Use the function keys on the front panel to display function 14-2 of the SRC Read the fifth and sixth leftmost characters of the address field This forms a unit address "SU" S=SCSI bus #, U=unit # (1-8) Other possible causes: bad SCSI cable (3%), loss of power to MFIOP or device (3%), MFIOP failed (3%) If you have an external tape drive connected, double-check to ensure all cables are tightly connected, and did not come loose, and ensure tape drive is powered on at IPL.
