No, just keypunches. In my first job as a mainframe operator (mid 80's) we did have some OLD card sorting machines with removable "circuit boards" that required occasional rewiring, depending on the job. I also remember every Friday night there was a job where we had to load about 20 trays of cards. It took about an hour to load them all and you could pretty much count on at least one jam that ate a card. You then had to look at the card, try to figure out what it was, and repunch a new one. (and you think that you've got data integrity problems!) That company went bankrupt a couple of years ago. Go figure...
