I feared it might just be an "undocumented feature" with Paste. Rats. Let me
respond to a couple of the other posts:

1. Yes, we know about and use Paste Next and it works great when needed. Users
LOVED it once I showed them. Many never asked and have wasted "days" of time
going back and forth.

2. Dave's Tangent - It may have to do with some settings under
Edit/Preferences/Edit (or Edit/Options I think in V3Rx). Under the Paste tab,
there is a variety of options, particularly the Tab Character processing
choices. We often have users wanting to Copy things from multiple columns in a
Excel sheet into a data entry screen set of columns and it will not work
correctly if you don't have these set correctly. In V3Rx, you had to set the
Advance Next Tab stop to 60 cols and in V5Rx, you simply check the Paste Data
to Fields choice and all works fine. You might try fiddling with these values
to see if it helps.

Going off on a tangent...

I've had an issue where I have multiple sessions open and I do a copy from
the record selection of one query into the record selection of another
query and the columns don't line up. What's up with that?

I've been accused of being a few PTF's short of a cume but honestly, I'm
not seeing things.
