And it I go into iSeries Navigator I see:

Name                Path                                        Description
Qca400        /QCA400                                CA/400
Qdirsrv        /QIBM/ProdData/OS400/DirSrv        OS/400 -- Directory
Services
Qibm                /QIBM                                        IBM
Product
Directories
Root                /                                        Chuck

And if I write click on Root and hit properties I can change it to
read/write and create a folder. I then changed the properties back to read
and went into the new folder and cannot create subfolder. So do I have to
leave the whole root as read/write to do anything ?

Thanks,

Chuck

Is 'Qlee'
- a share on your iSeries
- the name of your iSeries

iSeries Navigator, File Systems, Shares, right click on the
share.  Properties.  Is is read/write or read?

I was going to ask if it was under QDLS, but you would get a different
error.  QDLS doesn't like names like "New Folder".
